Robin Brooks Miller is a seasoned professional and head trainer at Crosspoint Equestrian.
With a lifelong foundation in the sport, beginning with nationally recognized
success as a junior rider, Robin is known for her versatile skill set and deep love and understanding of horses. Robin’s professional career spans 30+ years of experience in the show arena with ponies, hunters, jumpers and equitation.
Her early years were marked by top placings in Children and Junior Hunters, Maclay Finals, USET, and Junior Jumpers where she stood out not only for her competitive results and accolades in Zone 4 but also for her poise, precision, hard work and classical horsemanship while developing a well-rounded riding style.
At the core of Robin’s training philosophy is a strong foundation in dressage basics. Robin maintains that correct flatwork and rider biomechanics are the cornerstone of success in any ring. This philosophy influences her approach to developing horse and rider, focusing on balance and unity with clear instructional communication producing positive horse connection and strengthening rider confidence.
With a reputation for bringing along young horses and ponies with patience and tact, Robin excels at creating successful matches between riders and mounts. Her experience ranges from riding elite imported sale horses for high paying customers under pressure, to starting green ponies and young warmbloods, to off the track thoroughbreds or refining and retuning show-ring veterans, while always consisting a naturally driven attitude to correct training for long-term success.
Today, Robin continues to work with riders of all levels and ages, drawing on her depth of experience and her passionate love of the horse to guide the next generation of equestrians with skill, positive reinforcement, attention to detail with a relentless commitment to excellence.
Danielle Skaar joins the Crosspoint Equestrian instructor team with a passion for equine education and refined background in rider development. Danielle brings a coaching style that emphasizes basic fundamentals and confidence building. Whether working with riders finding their seat or equestrian’s honing their partnership with the horse, Danielle’s goal is to foster a positive environment where learning is enjoyable, goals are attainable, and every rider feels empowered, her addition strengthens our commitment to providing high-quality instruction, and we are delighted to welcome her to the Crosspoint family.
